I ran across a halftone effect tutorial the other day and wanted to give it a try.

You have to turn your graphic to gray scale in order to accomplish this effect so I used it as an overlay on the color photograph. Also, I experimented with popping part of the subject by using the quick selection tool to adjust the opacity of the overlay on my daughter.

I don’t have time to actually plan out a layout with it and am not sure what event I’ll use it on. But, I thought I’d reveal this half baked experimentation since I wanted to share the tutorial link.
